The journey of SEO dates back to the 1990s when Mr. Berners had discovered the key technologies which were the bedrock of the web, along with Hypertext Markup Language, which is a tool for creating web pages.
Just after that, in 1991, Mr. Berners-Lee introduced the world to his new and only existing website, called Fittingly.
His project was about the World Wide Web, which was helpful for describing the web and how to use it.
His website was hosted at CERN on his NeXT personal computer.

Just around that period more advanced search engine came into existence search engines like alta vista (1995), lycos(1994) and inktomi(1996) introduced the web market with basic algorithms device which used keywords frequency and relevance of the website to rank them
This was the time frame when website owners started optimising their websites on basis of this markers
And the word Search engine optimization came from the office of cybernautics design where the senior vice president BOB was educating his employees about search engine optimization and he named this field Search engine optimisation (SEO)
And after all that in 1996 google came into the scene as a company named BackRub which was a analysis engine developed by PhD students Larry Page and Sergey Brin
Which certainly involved into the website called google in 1997 and provided mankind with advanced search engine which rank pages on advanced markers like backlinks and since then google had become the most influential player in search engine market
